Guardrail Post Supplier

Galvanized round, square and open-section posts to the barrier drawing

We supply steel guardrail posts as identified components for roadside barrier orders. Round, square and open sections use their own hole pattern, length and mounting detail. Post, blockout and rail interfaces remain tied to the accepted barrier configuration; the shipment identifies China as the manufacturing origin.

Published guardrail post section dimensions

Use the section form and its dimensions to identify the catalog family. The quoted post drawing completes the wall or plate thickness, corners, holes and mounting details.

First-party guardrail-post catalog selections. The complete section designation comes from the component drawing. The accepted barrier drawing fixes the actual profile, thickness, post length and interfaces. Crash-test level comes from the system evidence.

Component identity and accepted barrier configuration

The post is one part of the barrier

Post behavior depends on the rail, blockout, fasteners, spacing and ground or base arrangement. A MASH-tested barrier is established by the system test record, separately from the component material certificate.

Material and protection records

The post material, section and finish stay on its own purchase line. Each post and fastening part carries its own steel and protection entries.

China origin and the purchase contract

Our offer identifies the manufacturing origin and requested source records. The buyer’s contract and project authority determine accepted sourcing and roadside hardware. We describe our components as China-made.

Post length, hole direction and mounting route

Total length and embedded portion

Fabricated length describes the delivered post. Embedment and exposed rail height depend on the selected barrier and site detail, which set the accepted installation height.

Hole positions from a clear end datum

End offsets, bolt centers and slot direction locate the rail or blockout. The hole face and section rotation remain explicit, particularly where two similar posts place the connection on opposite faces.

Plain ends and base-mounted posts

A post placed in the ground and a post fixed through a base plate have different support conditions. The base plate, welds and anchor pattern are supplied only to the corresponding accepted detail.

Finishing the prepared component

Cut ends and prepared holes remain part of the specified finish scope. Mating faces and bolt seats are checked after protection so holes stay clear and the intended fit is preserved.

Post orders for new runs and identified replacements

New barrier component schedules

Posts are grouped by run, section and mounting detail. Terminal, transition and special-position posts retain their own references.

Replacing damaged components

The retained barrier identity determines the replacement post and its blockout connection. Any substitution, including a heavier section, goes through the project review.

Post profile, holes and finish checks

The complete section

Checks identify depth or OD, width and steel thickness against the post drawing. Open-section lips, bends and corners distinguish profiles that share the same outside envelope.

End datums and attachment faces

Overall length, hole centers, slot direction and base orientation are checked from the released end datum. That record identifies the face that mates with the blockout or rail.

Finish and component records

Protection checks follow the specified coating and repair criteria. Material, drawing and origin records stay linked to the actual post lot and required fastening parts.

Post bundles and separately counted connection parts

Itemized post and hardware prices

Our quotation lists each section, length and mounting variant separately. Base assemblies, post caps, blocks and fastening parts use their own counts, with required records and shipment terms attached to the order.

Bundles by section and hole schedule

Straight posts are supported on bearers with protection at finished contact points. Different hole patterns and base-mounted variants remain identifiable instead of being mixed under one nominal length label.

Receiving by barrier run

Run or position references travel with the packing groups. The receiving list distinguishes ordinary line posts from separately specified terminal or transition components and retains the hardware allocated to each joint.

Guardrail post purchasing questions

Can an H-section post replace a W6×9 post of similar depth?

Not from the depth measurement alone. The complete section, material, hole pattern and accepted barrier configuration determine the required component. A catalog H-section envelope is not a US wide-flange designation.

Does a thicker post always make the barrier safer?

A heavier component can change how the system deflects and absorbs impact. The accepted configuration governs replacement; extra steel thickness is not by itself evidence of improved crash performance.

Can W-beam and thrie-beam rails use the same post?

That depends on the accepted barrier configuration. Rail depth, attachment height, blockout and bolt arrangement can differ. The post drawing must cover the actual rail connection; matching the post section alone does not establish the shared assembly.

Can a slotted post hole be enlarged to fit an existing rail?

A changed hole alters the component and connection. The project authority must accept the modified detail before it becomes the replacement specification; field fit does not establish that acceptance.

Are roadside guardrail posts also pedestrian-railing or bridge-parapet posts?

Those applications have different system and connection requirements. A roadside line post is not supplied as an equivalent pedestrian-railing or bridge-parapet component solely because its section fits; the order must identify the actual application and accepted component drawing.

Does the component price include post driving or anchor installation?

The standard offer covers the named steel components and hardware. Site driving, excavation, concrete work and anchor installation are separate responsibilities unless specifically included in the contract. Their methods and acceptance follow the project installation detail.
