Guardrail Post Cap Manufacturer

Round steel post-top covers with matched seats and attachment tabs

We supply round steel guardrail post caps with a formed cover and an attachment tab for the selected post detail. Our accessory catalog lists 110–150 mm cap diameters and 4–5 mm steel thicknesses. The quoted cap drawing identifies its seat, crown and tab connection so replacement covers match the actual post top.

Published steel post-cap dimensional scope

Our accessory catalog lists cap-diameter and steel-thickness ranges separately. The selected drawing combines them with the seat and attachment geometry for the ordered cap.

Our round steel post-cap catalog lists diameters of 110–150 mm and steel thicknesses of 4–5 mm. The selected cap drawing identifies its diameter, thickness, seat, attachment tab and finish together.

Cap crown, rim and fixing-tab choices

Cover profile at the post edge

Crown rise and edge shape establish the cap’s top and rim. The seating detail identifies the overlap or contact against the actual post section, preserving the required cover position.

Attachment tab alongside the post

The tab follows the selected post face and fixing location. Its projection, hole and cap-to-tab attachment are dimensioned together so that the cover seats at the intended height.

Caps follow the post and its coating

AASHTO M 180 covers the corrugated rail elements, transitions and end sections; the post cap follows the post detail on the project standard drawing. Hot-dip galvanizing is specified to ASTM A123 for the fabricated steel article, with the required coating grade stated on the order.

Formed covers and finished attachment dimensions

Diameter and formed shape

The formed cover is checked at its stated diameter and profile datums. Rim shape and crown position remain part of the selected cap.

Tab location and fixing access

The tab position preserves access to the specified fixing. Its hole center and projection are related to the seated cap, keeping the attachment reachable once the cover is fitted.

Finish over the cover and tab

The required galvanized or coated finish follows the cap and its attachment detail. Seating faces and the fixing-hole area retain the finished clearances called for on that configuration.

Post-cap lots for distributors and replacement orders

Round-post cover replenishment

A retained cap or post-top detail establishes the cover seat and tab interface. Different post families keep their own cap references even when their outside envelopes appear similar.

Caps within a guardrail component package

Cap quantities follow the scheduled post-top positions. Posts, caps and any included fixing hardware remain separate item counts on the component offer.

Post-cap seat, tab and finish checks

Cap diameter and tab checks

Cover dimensions

The outside diameter and crown/rim profile are checked against the cap reference. A post-top mating detail establishes the intended seated position.

Tab and fixing geometry

Checks relate the attachment tab and hole center to the cap’s seating datums. The required attachment and finished-hole condition follow that same drawing.

Finished cap identity

The selected cap reference, finish and complete-piece count remain linked through inspection and packing. Different tab or seat arrangements retain separate identification.

Complete covers and included fixings

Our offer states the selected cap configuration, finish and piece count. Any included fixing bolts or screws have their own item identity and quantity.

Crown and tab protection

Dividers or suitable nesting protect formed covers and projecting tabs during handling. The packing arrangement preserves the selected seat and attachment shape.

Receiving by post family

Cap groups retain their matching post reference and finish. The packing list separates different diameters or tab details and records the agreed shipment basis.

Guardrail post-cap purchasing questions

Can one cap fit every post in the 110–150 mm band?

The band describes published cap diameters. Each selected cap has its own cover seat, attachment tab and matched post detail; those dimensions identify the replacement item.

What measurements help identify an existing cap?

The cap outside diameter, post outside diameter, crown/rim profile and tab-hole position provide useful identification. Photographs of the seated cover and its underside help show the attachment arrangement.

How does a round-post cap differ from a cover for an I-section post?

A round-post cap seats against the circular post rim. An I-section presents a web and two flange ends, giving a different top outline and fixing arrangement. Identify that post section on the request so its required cover can be selected from the corresponding drawing.

Can painted and galvanized caps share one order?

Yes. Each cap model and finish has its own line and packing group. The selected coating and the matching seat/tab detail stay with that group.

How do we order a cap for a revised post-top detail?

The revised post and fixing detail establishes the required cap seat and tab location. We quote that cap configuration under its own reference and quantity.

Can cap groups be marked for different receiving areas?

Agreed receiving-area references can be linked to the cap model and count on the packing list. Each group retains its post family, finish and complete-piece identity.
