ASTM A53 Grade B pipe for distributor and fabrication orders
We manufacture ASTM A53 Grade B ERW pipe for distributor stock and workshop fabrication. Selected Schedule 40 sizes run from NPS 2–8, with full lengths, cut pieces and prepared ends available in the same wholesale order.
ERW Pipe for Mechanical Contractors & Distributors
ASTM A53 Type E pipe is supplied to the specified wall and finished length, with ends prepared for the joining method on your material list.
Plant Utility Pipework
ASTM A53 Type E identifies the ERW pipe on a utility or mechanical-service material list. Its longitudinal seam, specified wall and required pipe tests stay with that purchase item. Plain, threaded, grooved and beveled ends are compared under end preparation below.

Repeated Sizes for Workshop Cutting
A recurring pipe size is easier to process when length batches and end conditions stay consistent. Full lengths suit a workshop's own cutting plan; cut pieces reduce on-site saw work when the finished dimensions are already fixed.
Use the size buttons in the table to add selected dimensions. Add lengths and quantities in the inquiry, or attach your complete list.
Add sizeAdded to your inquiry. You can edit the line below.Enter positive dimensions; wall must be less than half the OD and quantity must be a whole number.
Pipe Ends Ready for Your Joining Method
Full lengths and cut pieces can have plain, threaded, grooved or beveled ends. We complete the specified end preparation after cutting and check the finished length from the agreed reference.
Cutting & End Preparation
Square cuts provide a starting face for threaded or grooved pieces. Butt-weld pipe needs the bevel geometry specified for the joint, including the root face where required.
Finished length
Full mill lengths or repeated cut lengths, with burrs removed
Threads
NPT or the specified thread form; protectors for exposed threads
Grooves
Groove profile and pipe wall matched to the selected coupling
Surface Preparation for the Next Operation
An oil film protects during handling but must be compatible with later painting or welding. For a coating order, the preparation and pipe-end cutbacks belong in the coating scope, rather than being inferred from a black appearance.
Workshop delivery
Bare or temporarily protected surface for subsequent fabrication
Coating work
Surface cleaning and the selected protection system listed separately
Connection areas
Threads and weld preparations kept usable through packing
From Strip Forming to Weld Acceptance
Strip forming, longitudinal welding, sizing and cutting are followed by checks of the seam, pipe body and prepared ends.
Strip Forming & Longitudinal Welding
Rolls form the strip into a round section before the edges are resistance welded. Sizing establishes the finished diameter; cutting produces the ordered lengths.
Weld, Body & Pipe-End Checks
Inspection covers the longitudinal seam, pipe geometry and the tests required for the ordered A53 manufacturing type and grade.
Heat & Coil Identity
Material references connect the finished pipe batch to its chemical and mechanical records.
Diameter at the Joint
OD, wall and end geometry are checked for the ordered connection, including prepared threads or grooves.
Required Pipe Testing
The material certificate and applicable test record identify the actual manufacturing type and ordered grade.
Batch Release
The packing list separates size, length and end preparation so receiving can match each bundle to its order line.
Packing for Repeated-Size Orders
Full Lengths and Cut Pieces
Equal-size pipe is bundled by finished length and end type. Cut pieces stay distinguishable from full lengths even when both use the same diameter and wall.
Thread and Bore Protection
Thread protectors and end caps reduce handling damage and keep loose debris out of the bore. Bundles rest on supports rather than directly on the loading floor.
Bundle Quantities and Handling
Bundle weight and length must suit the receiving equipment. We list package quantities so a distributor can book each size into its own inventory line.
Wholesale supply from China
Our quotation separates pipe, end processing and shipment. Production timing is stated for the selected sizes and quantity; vessel transit is a separate part of the delivery plan.
ERW Steel Pipe FAQ
Can I combine several ERW sizes in one order?
Yes. We price each size separately and show its production or processing minimum. Full lengths and cut pieces remain identifiable within the combined order.
Can you supply ERW pipe for fire protection?
We review fire-protection purchases against the specified pipe standard and required product listings. An ordinary A53 order does not by itself include a UL or FM listing.
Can one ERW order include threaded and beveled pipe?
Yes. The end types are separate order lines, with the size, finished length and piece count retained for each. This keeps fitting-ready pipe distinct from the pieces intended for butt welding.
What if my wall thickness is not in this table?
Send the actual outside diameter and wall, or the NPS and schedule. We return the matching manufacturing and price scope for that item; the selected Schedule 40 rows do not limit your inquiry to those six sizes.
Does ERW always cost less than seamless pipe?
Compare quotations for the same grade, dimensions, end work and tests. Batch quantity and processing can change the price difference, while a seamless-only specification remains a separate purchasing requirement.
