Wall-basis acceptance
Inspection uses the purchased minimum or average wall and its applicable tolerance. Wall readings are evaluated against that ordered tube basis, with the selected dimension retained in the inspection record.
Tube dimensions and straightness
Actual OD, finished length and the specified straightness requirements affect tube-sheet fit and fabrication. End damage and ovality are checked before packing.
Material and heat-treatment records
Heat identity connects the delivered tube with its chemical, mechanical and delivery-condition records. Required heat-treatment documentation is included in the agreed release package.
Specified tube testing
A213 examinations and any supplementary tests follow the ordered grade and specification. Additional witnessing, nondestructive testing or special acceptance criteria are identified in the inspection plan.
