End-Suction Fire Pump Supplier

Horizontal centrifugal pump orders built around one defined flow and pressure

We supply single-stage, single-suction fire-water pumps for project procurement. The published family covers 150–750 US gpm, with electric-motor or diesel-engine drive selected for the required duty. Pump, driver, coupling arrangement and controller are identified together in the offer.

Selected entries from our single-stage single-suction catalog show pressure bands across selections at approximately 3,000 rpm. Metric flow is converted using 0.227125 m³/h per US gpm. The supplied unit retains its actual curve, speed, impeller and driver data, including the selected configuration for a 60 Hz order.

Duty point, power supply and project requirements

Frequency and pump speed

The published speed is approximately 3,000 rpm. A US 60 Hz order states voltage, phase and motor speed, with the performance curve for that actual pump and driver selection.

Flooded suction for this fire-water selection

This horizontal end-suction selection uses a positive, permanently flooded suction supply. The accepted arrangement accounts for water level, suction losses and required inlet head. A source below the pump requires a separately accepted pump and water-source arrangement.

Fire-service approval

The project installation specification identifies the applicable NFPA 20 requirements. Orders requiring UL Listing or FM Approval also identify the exact pump, duty, driver and controller configuration covered by the corresponding product evidence.

Pump-room layout and package interfaces

Suction nozzle approach

An end-suction arrangement brings flow into the impeller along its axis. The inlet approach, reducer and nearby fittings need room in the pump-room layout and must follow the approved installation detail.

Coupling and alignment

A separately coupled driver uses a defined base and coupling arrangement. The package drawing identifies the coupling alignment references, guarding and adjustment access at that mechanical interface.

Maintenance withdrawal

The layout reserves space for the specified service method and removal path. Access around the bearing housing, coupling and casing affects maintenance even when the pump footprint fits the room.

Driver and controller scope

A motor or diesel engine changes electrical, fuel, ventilation and control interfaces. Our offer separates the included driver/controller equipment from site services and installation work.

Horizontal pump procurement for fire-water systems

New pump rooms

A new installation coordinates the selected pump curve, general arrangement and driver data before adjacent pipework is fixed. The purchase schedule carries those interfaces together as the defined unit.

Planned pump replacement

A replacement matches the existing duty, suction and discharge interfaces, foundation and driver requirements. We compare those mechanical and electrical details alongside the required flow and pressure.

Performance and mechanical release records

Selected performance curve

The offered curve states the actual model, speed and impeller configuration. Required performance test points and witnessing are agreed as part of the order.

Casing and pressure tests

Pressure-test records identify the selected pump’s test conditions and acceptance basis. Hydraulic performance is documented on its selected curve and required performance-test records.

Assembly interfaces

General arrangement checks cover nozzle locations, mounting points and the coupling/driver arrangement supplied. Piping loads and installation supports remain defined project interfaces.

Identification and documents

Pump and driver identification connect the delivered package to its curve, datasheet and required approval records. Controller documentation is included when it is part of the purchased scope.

Base and casing support

The package is supported at the intended structural points and restrained for transport. Flange protectors keep loose material away from the waterway, while coupling and shaft areas remain protected.

Loose items and controls

Controllers and loose accessories are packed and identified against the package list. The receiving team can distinguish supplied equipment from site-installed services.

The complete offer

Our quote returns the selected duty, pump and driver configuration, included controller and test documents. Packing, delivery destination and commercial terms stay attached to that exact selection.

End-Suction Fire Pumps purchasing questions

Can the maximum flow and maximum pressure be ordered together?

Select the required flow and pressure together on the actual model’s curve, using its impeller and speed. The family maxima may come from separate catalog selections; the offered configuration identifies the duty that the selected unit supplies.

From which end is pump rotation identified?

Use the viewing direction stated on the selected pump drawing or manual. Clockwise viewed from the back of the driver appears opposite when viewed from the suction end. The selected rotation and viewing direction stay together; the word clockwise on its own is incomplete.

Is the controller included with a bare pump?

The offer identifies the bare pump and each included package item: controller, driver, coupling/base arrangement and loose accessories. Each line states its supplied configuration and quantity.

Can an end-suction fire pump draw from a source below the pump?

The horizontal fire-water selection here requires a positive, flooded suction supply. A source below the pump uses a separately accepted water-source and pump arrangement with the required inlet conditions established for that selection.

What is needed to replace an existing pump?

Provide the required duty, old curve or nameplate details, water-source conditions, nozzle connections, mounting dimensions, driver and electrical data. The replacement is checked against the installed interfaces as well as flow and pressure.

Is a catalog reference to NFPA 20 the same as UL Listing?

NFPA 20 addresses installation requirements. A UL Listing or FM Approval requirement uses the product evidence for the supplied model and configuration, retained alongside the installation and package documents.
