HEB Steel Beam Supplier

Heavy-series HE sections with the flange and web kept to the scheduled profile

We supply HEB steel beams for fabricators and project material orders. The B suffix identifies a heavier HE section than HEA at the same nominal size, with different web and flange thicknesses. Full lengths and prepared pieces are quoted by complete section designation, material grade and piece length.

Selected nominal dimensions and steel mass from the ArcelorMittal section reference. Use the complete designation for profile geometry. Our quotation identifies the material grade, supplied lengths and quantities; the project design establishes member resistance and connection requirements.

Section series and material acceptance

Geometry identifies the member

HEB identifies the section series. The full profile name fixes its depth, flange width, thicknesses and root radius; the material line carries the required steel grade.

Material properties come from the grade

The material specification establishes strength and any toughness requirement. An EN grade quality suffix or an ASTM material designation stays on the order and material record.

Tolerances are a separate requirement

Nominal dimensions identify the profile. The ordered product specification sets the permitted dimensional variation, straightness and surface acceptance.

HEB preparation for connections and assemblies

Square ends and finished length

End cuts establish the member length and bearing face. A length for later machining needs its own allowance; the delivered cut length is recorded against the part mark.

HEB 200 connection space

HEB 200 has 15 mm flanges and an 18 mm nominal root radius. The straight web between the two root fillets is nominally 134 mm high: 200 − 2 × 15 − 2 × 18. That geometry helps detail a web connection; hole spacing and bolt access still follow the released drawing.

Welded attachments

End plates, stiffeners and connection cleats are identified as fabricated additions. Their material, weld details and inspection scope are separate from the rolled beam order.

HEB members for structural fabrication

Columns and heavy connection zones

Broad flanges provide fixing surfaces for base plates and beam connections. The structural schedule selects the member using its section properties, grade, restraint and connection arrangement.

Built-up frame packages

A frame order can combine HEB sizes with other sections while keeping member marks separate. The bill of materials identifies each cut length and any shop preparation.

HEB profile checks before dispatch

Web, flanges and section depth

Profile identification checks distinguish the B series from lighter HE sections. Depth, width and thickness observations are recorded against the ordered designation.

Prepared features

Cut lengths and hole or attachment positions are checked from the drawing datum. The inspection record distinguishes rolled-profile dimensions from the finished connection features.

Material and member marks

Heat references stay linked to material documents. Prepared members retain their part identification through surface treatment and packing.

HEB packing and commercial quantities

Heavy sections need lifting access

Dunnage separates bundles and provides sling clearance. Exposed prepared faces and projecting attachments receive protection appropriate to the packing arrangement.

HEB 200 material takeoff

At 61.3 kg/m nominal mass, one 6 m HEB 200 length represents 367.8 kg of steel; a 12 m length represents 735.6 kg. These are theoretical section totals before attachments, coating and packing, with the actual price and shipping weight basis stated separately.

Mixed sizes stay on separate lines

Our offer separates HEB sizes, cut pieces and fabrication work. The size quantities, supply schedule and delivery terms are stated for the requested destination.

HEB Steel Beams purchasing questions

How is the steel strength specified with an HEB section?

The material line names the steel grade and its required properties. The B suffix identifies HE section geometry, while the material certificate records the supplied grade and heat.

What is checked when an HEB section is proposed for a W-beam position?

The project review compares depth, flange width, web and flange thickness, mass and section properties, followed by the connection details. The accepted substitution identifies the exact HEB profile and material grade.

How are material records assigned to an order with several HEB sizes?

The record-to-piece cross-reference identifies the heats, testing scope and section sizes covered by each material record. Several sizes can share a record where its actual scope covers those supplied items.

How are primer and attachments treated in the quoted weight?

Published kg/m describes the nominal steel section. The agreed quantity and price basis accounts for coating, welded attachments and packing as their own items.

Can short HEB pieces be ordered with full lengths?

Yes. The schedule lists full lengths and cut pieces by section, material, length and quantity. Prepared pieces retain their member marks and any drawing-defined end or connection work.

How are vent and drain details handled for galvanized attachments?

The fabrication drawing identifies the vent and drain provisions needed by the attached or enclosed details. Those provisions are reviewed with the galvanizing scope before the prepared member enters the coating process.
