Guardrail Bolt and Nut Manufacturer

Matched splice and post fasteners for wholesale guardrail component orders

Our guardrail fastener supply includes bolts, matching nuts and specified washers for identified rail and post connections. Head form, anti-rotation shoulder, thread and usable length stay together on each item. The inch-series catalog references below give a practical starting point for 5/8-11 orders.

First-party guardrail accessory inch-size references. Conversions use 25.4 mm/in. The selected fastener drawing and order identify head/neck form, grade, thread extent, nut and finish for each supplied item.

Splice bolts, post bolts and matched nut forms

Short splice connections

A rail splice fastener retains the specified head and shoulder where the panels overlap. The joint detail identifies the required bolt, nut and any prescribed washer arrangement.

Post and block connections

The bolt length follows the actual post, rail, offset block and backing-part stack. Different block or post details can change the required length while the nominal thread remains the same.

Material grade and fastener geometry

The purchasing specification identifies the required fastener grade, including ASTM A307 where ordered. Grade evidence belongs with the actual supplied bolt; head, neck and nut geometry remain separate dimensional requirements.

Shoulder seating, threaded grip and galvanized fit

The neck matches its receiving slot

An oval shoulder, square neck and round shank have different anti-rotation interfaces. The selected shoulder length and profile are retained with the rail or connection-slot detail.

Length across the complete stack

Under-head length, unthreaded grip and thread extent are checked against the joint’s material thicknesses. The nut’s final engagement and specified projection follow that connection detail.

Nut recess and coating allowance

A recessed guardrail nut has its own seating face and thread. The bolt and nut are supplied as the selected finished pair, including the specified galvanized thread-fit allowance and any required lubrication condition.

Connection-based fastener lots for guardrail orders

Hardware quantities from the joint schedule

The schedule identifies how many fasteners belong to each splice, post and special connection. We separate those hardware groups by their actual part reference and piece count.

Distributor replenishment by exact item

Short and long bolts can share a shipment while retaining their own head, thread and length identity. Nuts and washers have separate counts, including any agreed loose spares.

Guardrail fastener dimensions and matched-thread checks

Guardrail thread and length checks

Head, shoulder and length

Checks retain the selected head profile, neck dimensions and under-head length. These features link the fastener to its receiving slot and complete joint stack.

Finished thread and nut engagement

The thread designation and required engagement are checked with the selected nut and finished coating. Specified material/grade records remain linked to the supplied fastener lot.

Component counts

Bolt, nut and washer groups retain their own references and quantities. Packing identification connects each counted group to the connection schedule.

Bolt-only and matched-set quotations

Fastener scope visible in the price

Our quotation separates bolts, nuts and specified washers by part reference. Any set price identifies the included pieces, finish and quantity basis.

Short and long pieces grouped separately

Cartons keep different lengths, shoulder forms and nut types distinguishable. Protective packing and the agreed carton mass follow the selected fastener lot.

Hardware linked to its barrier group

The packing register can group hardware by component or receiving area. Loose spares remain visible alongside the scheduled connection quantities.

Guardrail bolt and nut purchasing questions

What does 5/8-11 identify?

It identifies a nominal 5/8 in. thread diameter with 11 threads per inch. The full item also gives the bolt length, thread form, head and shoulder detail, material grade and finish.

Can a metric bolt be substituted by diameter alone?

A proposed metric alternative is identified by its complete thread and fastener drawing. Pitch, head seating, shoulder and nut engagement are compared with the accepted connection before the alternative is released.

Does the quoted bolt length include the button head?

The selected drawing states the length datum. Round button-head guardrail bolts are normally ordered by under-head length; we retain that reference on the item so the material-stack check uses the same measurement.

What metric pitch corresponds to 11 threads per inch?

Eleven threads per inch correspond to 25.4 ÷ 11 = 2.309 mm pitch, rounded to three decimals. The bolt and nut order retains the 5/8-11 inch-series designation; the converted value describes the spacing between adjacent threads.

Can the same nut be used for different bolt lengths?

Different lengths can use the same nut where the complete thread, material and finished-fit requirements match. The item schedule retains that common nut reference while keeping each bolt length separate.

Does 5/8-11 also identify the wrench size?

The 5/8-11 designation describes the thread. Wrench fit comes from the selected nut’s across-flats dimension, recess and surrounding tool clearance. The nut drawing supplies those dimensions, allowing the fastening tool to be matched to the actual nut form.
