Pipeline Construction
A line-pipe order combines grade, PSL, diameter and wall with the project's acceptance criteria. Our grade-specific table helps narrow the size selection before coating and construction details are added.

Large-diameter line pipe formed from steel plate
We supply plate-formed LSAW pipe for large-diameter pipeline and fabrication orders. Selected 16–32 in. diameters have separate catalog wall ranges for Grade B, X52 and X65, with finished ends and coatings priced against the pipe schedule.
LSAW orders cover large-diameter line construction and fabricated pipework. We review the plate grade, wall, finished ends and required inspection against the project pipe schedule.

Large bores leave little room for an end mismatch during fit-up. Finished length, end roundness and bevel preparation matter when the pipe will be welded into headers or spool assemblies.

Our broader catalog includes additional diameters. Availability remains tied to a complete grade, diameter and wall selection.
These selected catalog rows keep diameter, grade and wall together. Millimeter diameters retain the catalog notation.

A catalog wall range is not a list of stocked thicknesses. The accepted order identifies the exact wall, tolerance, PSL and quantity.
Estimate bare-pipe weight from the specified OD, wall and length, then add the item to your inquiry. Coating and packing are outside this calculation.
Formula: 0.02466 × (OD − wall) × wall, in kg/m with dimensions in mm. Total excludes coating, weld allowance, packing and tolerance effects.
Added to your inquiry. You can edit the line below.Enter positive dimensions; wall must be less than half the OD and quantity must be a whole number.Cut lengths, bevel geometry, end roundness and coating cutbacks are included in the finished-pipe specification for field fit-up.
For pipe supplied with permanent protection, review the coated steel pipe options with the specified coating system and joint cutbacks.
We prepare cut lengths and bevels for the joint detail. Pipe-end roundness, squareness and root-face requirements are considered together, especially where two heavy sections must align.
External corrosion protection and an internal lining serve different surfaces. An order identifies each system separately, including preparation, required thickness and the uncoated end area used for joining.
Inspection covers plate identity, the longitudinal seam and finished pipe geometry, including the ends that meet at the site girth weld.
Steel plate is formed into a pipe section and joined along its longitudinal seam. The qualified production route and ordered grade govern subsequent treatment and inspection.
The ordered specification sets the seam-examination method, coverage and acceptance criteria. These requirements are retained in the inspection scope.
Heat and plate references stay linked to the finished pipe identification and material records.
End shape and squareness are checked where they affect alignment at the girth weld.
Mechanical, pressure and nondestructive test requirements follow the selected grade, PSL and purchase specification.
The agreed coating inspection covers the specified system and prepared end areas before dispatch.
Timber supports and suitable restraints keep the pipe stable during loading. Contact areas are planned around the pipe weight and any finished coating.
Prepared ends need separation from chains, adjacent pipe and hard loading surfaces. End protection is selected for the actual diameter and shipment arrangement.
Pipe or package references connect to the packing list, including lengths and quantities. This lets a receiving team separate construction lots without remeasuring the entire shipment.
Loading is planned for the selected lengths, pipe weight and lifting access. The quotation separates production timing from the freight arrangement to the destination.
State the required outside diameter and unit on each order line. Keep the listed catalog OD when it is the specified dimension; an inch designation alone should not replace that value.
It estimates bare-pipe mass from outside diameter, wall and length. Weld reinforcement, dimensional tolerances, coatings, packing and actual weighing can change the shipment figure.
Use the quantity basis on your purchase schedule. The quote states that basis with the pipe OD, wall, length and piece count, so the material total can be reconciled with the packing list.
Only after the project accepts the changed manufacturing route and its inspection requirements. The straight seam changes how the pipe is made, but does not remove the need to match grade, dimensions and service criteria.
We can price the material list by release lot. The quotation identifies each lot, manufacturing sequence, coating batch and freight arrangement so the delivery schedule and costs remain clear.
Send a pipe schedule or use the size tool to prepare a line item. Grade, PSL, quantities and destination let us price the pipe and its required coating or end work together.
