Grooved Pipe Fittings Manufacturer

Rigid and flexible couplings, elbows and tees for wholesale piping orders

Complete grooved coupling kits join the matching pipe ends; ductile iron elbows and tees provide the changes in direction and branch connections. Our range keeps coupling type, pipe outside diameter and gasket requirements together so the joint components fit the same assembly.

Grooved fittings and complete coupling kits

Rigid couplings

Rigid coupling kits are supplied for the restrained joints on the approved layout. The rigid style remains a separate item from a flexible kit at the same pipe OD.

Flexible couplings

A flexible design allows controlled movement within the limits of its selected model. The permitted end separation and deflection belong to that model’s data sheet. A flexible coupling does not replace an engineered expansion or seismic arrangement.

Elbows and equal tees

Grooved elbows turn the line through 90 degrees. Equal tees add a same-size branch. Short and standard patterns have different center-to-end dimensions, so the pattern remains part of the item description.

These rows cover the selected 300 psi coupling series. The accepted joint rating also depends on the pipe, groove, gasket and service conditions. Bolt lengths are given in millimeters; they are not tightening-torque values.

2½ in. pipe: 73.0 mm outside diameter

The 2½ in. selection above fits 73.0 mm OD pipe. A 76.1 mm product may also carry a DN65 designation, but it is a different outside-diameter series. The same distinction applies to 114.3 versus 108.0 mm and 168.3 versus 165.1 mm.

L is measured from the intersection of the pipe centerlines to the fitting end. At 4 in., the short pattern is 102 mm and the standard pattern is 127 mm. Keep the selected pattern on the fabrication drawing and purchase order.

An equal tee has the same nominal size at all three ends. The table covers the two stated sizes; larger tee takeouts follow the selected product drawing.

Pipe grooves and coupling fit

Groove profile

The selected coupling profile sets the groove diameter, width and distance from the pipe end. The gasket seat remains clear and ready for the supplied seal.

Rolled and cut grooves

A rolled groove displaces the pipe wall; a cut groove removes material. The pipe wall and coupling instructions determine which preparation is permitted. We keep the ordered groove profile tied to the fitting schedule.

Sealing surface

The area between the groove and pipe end is the gasket seat. Burrs, coating buildup or surface damage there affect the seal even when the groove itself has the correct dimensions.

Assembly instructions

Coupling designs use different bolt-pad conditions and tightening procedures. The supplied instructions identify the method for the selected model; there is no single torque value for every size and style.

Mixed manufacturers

Matching nominal sizes do not establish system compatibility. Housing geometry, gasket profile, pipe groove and approval conditions must be checked together before substituting a coupling or seal.

Pipe with prepared ends

Grooved pipe can be included with the fitting order. The pipe item retains its wall schedule and groove specification, and the coupling kit is listed separately from the pipe length.

Gasket Selection for the Coupling Order

Water service

Each offered kit names its gasket compound and coupling model. The gasket data supplied with the offer identifies the intended fluid and temperature limits, so a buyer can compare complete assemblies rather than a housing alone.

Oil-Service Requests

Oil-service assemblies are separate from the water-service selection. The offer identifies the proposed elastomer and its published service limits; a water-service EPDM seal is not substituted for a petroleum-compatible seal.

Dry and preaction systems

The gasket profile and approvals must cover the specified dry or preaction service. A seal chosen for an ordinary wet system is not automatically the right assembly for every air or low-temperature condition.

Spare gaskets

Spare seals are ordered against the coupling model, OD and compound. Rubber color alone does not identify the grade or prove that two gaskets have the same profile.

What we check on the supplied fittings

Grooved elbow and dimensional inspection tools on a workbench

Casting and connection dimensions

Checks cover the bore, grooved ends and center-to-end dimensions of the ordered pattern. Housing keys and bolt pads are checked for visible defects before the kit is packed.

Gasket and fastener identity

The gasket compound and profile stay linked to the coupling model. Bolt diameter, length and nut quantity are checked against the kit list, including separate spares.

Coating and sealing lands

Red coating and galvanized finishes remain separate order items. Inspection covers exposed surfaces, handling damage and the condition of areas that contact the gasket or mating components.

Model-specific approval records

A UL- or FM-specified offer identifies the manufacturer, coupling model, size and rated configuration, with the applicable record in its submittal. The kit, gasket and required documents are listed together before acceptance.

Coupling Kits, Fitting Pieces and Spare Parts

Coupling kits and fitting pieces

Count one coupling kit for each grooved joint. An elbow joined to separate pipes at both ends uses two kits; an equal tee joined at all three ends uses three. Count shared joints once when preparing the complete takeoff.

Packing by Style and Pipe OD

Rigid and flexible kits are packed and identified separately. Elbows and tees retain their nominal size, actual OD and pattern on the item list. Cartons and wooden packing protect coatings and keep small kit parts together.

Wholesale order terms

Our quotation separates coupling kits, fitting pieces and spare seals or fasteners. It states the batch quantities, production timing and shipment terms for the destination, with any special finish or documentation included in the scope.

Grooved fittings purchasing questions

Do you supply mechanical tees for a branch off the main pipe?

Yes. A mechanical tee clamps around a prepared hole in the main pipe. Specify the run OD, outlet size and connection type. Its hole preparation and installation dimensions follow the selected model’s drawing; it is a different fitting from a three-ended grooved tee.

Can you quote from a marked-up drawing or material list?

Yes. A drawing or schedule with nominal sizes, pipe ODs, fitting types and quantities gives us the starting point. We return an itemized list that identifies coupling styles and any missing service details.

Can a threaded branch be included in a grooved order?

Yes. A threaded outlet is identified by run size, branch size and thread form. It remains separate from an all-grooved equal tee so the branch connection is clear on the supply list.

Can we review a sample coupling kit before a bulk order?

Yes. The sample scope identifies the coupling style, pipe OD, gasket and finish. The agreed bulk-order specification remains tied to that assembly and its product records.
