Cast Steel Globe Valve Supplier

Bolted-bonnet valves with a selected disc, seat and flow direction

We supply cast steel globe valves for wholesale industrial valve schedules. The handwheel and stem move a disc onto its seat for shutoff or the accepted regulating duty. Our offer identifies the cast body grade, trim, end connection and pressure-temperature conditions as one selected valve.

Globe-valve trim and service conditions

Disc and seat arrangement

The trim description identifies the contact materials and disc profile. These details carry the actual shutoff and regulating requirements, including any specified leakage acceptance.

Flow arrow and pressure direction

The selected valve drawing and body marking establish the installation direction. A different disc or actuator arrangement can change the intended pressure direction, so the released valve item retains its own arrow and instructions.

Body rating and test records

The service rating follows the actual body material, class and temperature. Required shell and seat-test records retain the test conditions and acceptance criteria for that valve item.

Operator travel and maintenance space

Full open-stem envelope

The body L dimension locates the flange faces; the open-stem and handwheel dimensions establish access above them. The installed layout retains both references beside nearby piping or structural steel.

Bonnet removal path

Maintenance access includes the space needed to lift the bonnet, stem and disc group for the selected construction. The lifting path is reviewed separately from ordinary handwheel operation.

Weld-end release

A butt-weld valve uses the accepted bevel and welding procedure for its body and adjoining pipe. The fabrication release identifies the valve position and the manufacturer’s prescribed protection of seating and packing during welding.

Globe valves in industrial material schedules

Manual shutoff and regulating stations

The selected valve item records whether the operating duty is isolation or an accepted regulation point. Flow and differential-pressure conditions are retained with the trim selection.

A replacement at an existing station

A replacement compares the original face spacing, connection and full operator envelope. Its service conditions and trim identity are reviewed alongside those physical dimensions.

Globe valve closure and dimensional acceptance

Disc and seat identity

The inspection record retains the selected trim materials and contact condition. A specified seat-leakage test states its medium, pressure conditions and acceptance result.

Stem and packing movement

The prescribed operating check follows the stem through its travel. Gland, handwheel and stem condition are reviewed with the selected packing arrangement.

Connection and body marks

Face spacing, end preparation and material/class identification are checked against the released valve item. The same identity stays with the required pressure-test and material records.

Protect the rising operator

Cradle supports carry the cast body. The handwheel, exposed stem and gland remain clear of restraint pressure and crate contact.

Preserve prepared connections

End protectors keep the flange faces or weld bevels clear of loose packing debris. Separate gaskets, bolting and replacement trim remain identified by the valve reference.

Cast Steel Globe Valves purchasing questions

Can the valve be sized from nominal pipe diameter alone?

The line size establishes the connection family. A regulating selection also uses the required flow, differential pressure and fluid conditions to assess the valve capacity and trim. The accepted valve data retains both hydraulic and connection information.

Does every globe valve use the same flow direction?

The selected model’s arrow and instructions define its direction. Disc profile and actuator arrangement can change the intended pressure direction, and the order retains that exact configuration.

What determines the shutoff leakage requirement?

The purchase specification identifies the applicable valve test and leakage acceptance for the selected seat. The offered trim and test record use that same medium, pressure condition and acceptance basis.

Can a standard disc serve a very small throttling opening?

The accepted regulating range is reviewed against the actual flow and pressure drop. Where the duty requires a small effective opening or severe pressure reduction, the proposed disc or control-valve trim is selected for those conditions.

Is the handwheel diameter enough to check operating access?

The installation also retains full stem travel, access around the wheel and the bonnet-removal path. The selected open-position drawing provides the complete operator envelope.

What identifies spare packing or a replacement disc?

The valve manufacturer, model, size and trim reference identify the spare. The material and service-temperature requirements remain linked to that original assembly, including any accepted revision.
