Steel Gate Valve Supplier

Handwheel-operated flanged gates in stainless steel for line isolation

We supply flanged steel gate valves in catalog sizes from 2 to 16 in. for industrial piping orders. Stainless SS304 and SS316 body selections are available with the stated stainless seating. The complete assembly includes the body, gate, stem, bonnet and handwheel; flange details and the open-valve envelope stay with the selected model.

Gate valve nominal size selections

The flanged gate-valve catalog spans 2–16 in. Nominal size identifies the connection series. Flange outside diameter, face spacing and open-stem height come from the valve drawing.

Steel grade, flange series and valve duty

Industrial isolation service

A gate valve is selected for fully open or fully closed duty. The seat and gate construction must suit the fluid and shutoff requirement, stated separately from the PN designation.

Named flange standard

The catalog identifies DIN, JIS and ANSI connection routes. Each order uses one actual standard and pressure series.

Assembly operating limits

The approved valve data governs pressure and temperature for the body, seating and packing together. High-temperature and corrosion-service ratings come from that data.

Stem movement and service access

Open-valve headroom

A rising stem needs clearance above the bonnet as the gate opens. A non-rising arrangement has a different envelope. The selected drawing defines which arrangement fits the available space.

Handwheel access

Handwheel diameter and operating space affect installation near walls, adjacent valves and pipe racks. Access for a gloved hand is distinct from the clearance needed to remove the bonnet.

Bonnet removal

Maintenance needs a path for the stem and internal parts as well as wrench access around the bonnet fasteners. That removal envelope remains clear of permanent steelwork and services.

Gate-valve orders for industrial lines

Plant isolation points

A flanged gate provides a separately removable isolation assembly in the specified line. Piping supports carry the connected pipe loads, and flanges are aligned before the valve is bolted in.

Stainless material schedules

Separate SS304 and SS316 line items preserve the material required for each service. The chosen seat and packing still need to suit the actual fluid, cleaning conditions and temperature.

Assembly identity and gate operation

Connection dimensions

Flange drilling, face condition and valve installation length are compared with the accepted drawing. Similar nominal sizes can still have different connection patterns.

Stem and gate travel

Operation checks follow the selected valve procedure. The handwheel, stem and gate must move through the required travel without substituting an external appearance check for the specified test.

Required pressure and seat tests

The order identifies the test standard, shell and closure requirements and required records. Test pressure and leakage acceptance come from that standard.

Flange protection and gate-valve packing

Supported assemblies

Valve bodies are supported in the packing arrangement while covers protect flange faces and openings. Handwheels and projecting stems are kept clear of bearing and restraint points.

Line-by-line valve identity

Each valve size, body selection and item reference follows its packing entry. Gaskets, fasteners and other included connection parts use separate counts.

Valve and freight scope

Our offer identifies the valve assemblies, requested records and included accessories. Packing and delivery terms follow the quantities and destination on the order.

Steel gate valve purchasing questions

Can a gate valve be used for regular flow adjustment?

A general isolation gate is intended to operate fully open or fully closed. Sustained throttling changes the hydraulic and wear duty. Choose a valve designed and documented for regulation when the process requires it.

Does a stainless body mean the entire valve is SS316?

No. Body, gate, seat, stem, bonnet fasteners and packing are separate material selections. An SS316 body description does not establish the composition of every component.

Is a PN16 gate valve a direct replacement for a Class 150 valve?

No. The connection and rating systems differ. Match the existing flange standard, facing, drilling and face spacing, then check the selected assembly operating limits.

Can an industrial gate valve replace a listed fire-system gate valve?

Only when the actual replacement satisfies the fire-system specification and its required approval. A handwheel, visible stem or nominal pressure series does not establish that approval.

Can the handwheel be used as a lifting point?

Use the lifting arrangement specified for the valve assembly. A handwheel or stem is an operating component and should not be assumed to be a load-rated lifting attachment.

Can the actuator be added later to any handwheel gate valve?

Automation requires the actual stem interface, mounting arrangement, travel and operating torque or thrust. A manual valve is not automatically an actuator-ready assembly; the selected valve and drive need a documented match.
