Solar Panel Clamp Supplier

Mid clamps, end clamps and matched rail-fastening kits

We supply drawing-based solar module clamps as bare bodies or complete fastening kits. Interior joints use a two-sided mid clamp; outer frames use the specified end detail. The clamp, module frame and rail nut are matched as one connection, with each height and finish kept under its own part code.

Clamp quantities for a continuous two-rail module row

For a row supported on two rails with one clamp at each rail crossing, the two outer frames need four end clamps. Each interior module joint adds two mid clamps.

Takeoff basis: one straight row, two supporting rails and no internal break. Required module support locations come from the actual module and mounting detail. A gap that ends one row and starts another creates additional end-clamp positions. This is a takeoff count; the structural design is separate.

Module retention and bonding records

The permitted contact zone

The module manufacturer identifies where and how its frame may be retained. Clamp width, overlap and position follow that detail, separate from the module wattage.

A defined mechanical assembly

Rail slot, captive fastener and clamp geometry remain under one assembly reference. Changing only the bolt length or nut can change seating and engagement even when the clamp body stays the same.

Bonding is a separate function

An evaluated bonding path is established by the listing, not by aluminum-to-frame contact. Orders requiring listed mounting or bonding components identify the exact part combination and applicable installation record.

Bearing lips, frame height and fastener travel

Mid clamps share the interior joint

The bridge bears on both adjacent frames. Unequal frame heights can leave one lip seated and the other clear, so mixed module constructions need their actual joint detail.

End clamps stand outside the frame

The lower foot or other support feature fixes the outside clamp’s geometry. A loose spacer or shortened mid clamp is a different assembly from the end part.

Rail nuts must seat in the channel

Nut width and insertion direction determine whether it can locate and bear inside the rail. The threaded hole must align with the clamp bolt without the nut rotating out of its intended seat.

Finishing includes the contact faces

Silver and dark finishes are separate order variants. The drawing identifies the bearing and fastening surfaces, including any controlled contact treatment needed by the selected mechanical or bonding detail.

Clamp lots for new arrays and identified replacements

OEM component batches

A repeat order retains the clamp drawing, module interface and rail-nut reference together. Body-only pieces and assembled kits have distinct part codes, making production quantities and purchased hardware visible.

Replacement at an existing module row

The retained frame and rail determine the replacement. A photograph can show the clamp family, but a frame section and rail-channel dimensions resolve the hidden seating geometry.

Clamp seating and kit checks

End clamp beside a caliper, module-frame coupon and rail section

Finished bearing geometry

Checks locate the lip, step and frame-contact surfaces against the part drawing. Burrs or damaged lips can change the contact despite a correct overall clamp height.

Assembled bolt travel

A representative frame and rail interface reveals nut seating, engagement and remaining fastener travel. Dimensional fit is checked independently from any required retention or bonding test.

Kit identity and contents

The body, bolt, rail nut, washer and specified contact piece are reconciled against the kit reference. Loose spare hardware stays distinguishable from pieces assigned to each clamp.

Wholesale clamp pricing and separated packing

Bodies and hardware priced separately

Our offer identifies whether each quantity means a bare clamp body or a complete fastening kit. Different frame heights, finishes and captive fasteners remain separate lines, with minimum batches and shipment terms stated for the actual mix.

Bearing faces protected in transit

Divided packing keeps loose bolts away from clamp lips and finished surfaces. Mid and end forms are grouped by part code; cartons identify piece counts per code.

Spares stay on their own line

Extra clamp bodies and fastening sets can be included as counted items. Their part references follow the installed assembly so a replacement kit is identified by its own part references.

Solar clamp purchasing questions

Can a mid clamp join modules with different frame heights?

Only where the identified clamp assembly is designed for that height combination. A symmetric bridge intended for equal frames can leave the lower frame loose. The two actual frame sections must be part of the joint review.

Does ordering 100 clamps mean 100 complete kits?

The item description decides that. A bare-body line contains no implied bolt or rail nut. A kit line names the included fastening pieces and the quantity supplied with each clamp.

Can frameless glass modules use these frame clamps?

Frameless modules use a different approved retention detail, including their glass contact and edge protection. These framed-module clamps are not substituted for a frameless-module mounting device.

Can the original bolts be reused for replacement clamps?

Reuse follows the actual fastener and mounting-system instructions. Condition, coating, locking features and prior tightening can matter; a bolt that still turns into the nut is not automatically an accepted reusable fastener.

Is one torque value suitable for every clamp kit?

No. The specified tightening method belongs to the actual bolt, nut, clamp and surface condition. A value from another rail system or a different lubricated fastener is not transferred to the supplied kit.

Can clamps be fitted on the short frame side instead of the long side?

Only when the exact module instructions and mounting design permit that location. Moving the clamp to another frame edge changes its support arrangement, even if the clamp fits the frame height.

Quote the clamps and fastening kits your array uses

Send the clamp drawings or retained part references with the module model, rail section and quantities by mid/end form. We will identify the supplied bodies, finishes, hardware and spares in one parts quotation.
