Wafer Butterfly Valve Supplier

Gear-operated valves for compact between-flange installations

We supply wafer butterfly valves in a 2–12 in. catalog range for distributors and industrial piping orders. The short body fits between two mating flanges, with a worm gearbox and handwheel for operation. PN10 and PN16 selections are quoted with the required flange interface and valve assembly.

Nominal-size cross-reference for the catalog range. DN is a nominal designation, not the pipe outside diameter. The selected valve drawing supplies body dimensions, flange details and disc clearance.

Pressure designation, flange pattern and seat selection

PN10 and PN16 identify the valve selection

The order states the required PN designation and the actual service pressure and temperature. The valve keeps its own PN rating whatever the mating flange is labeled.

Flanges match the complete interface

Bolt-circle diameter, hole arrangement, facing and clear bore belong to the connection check. We identify the proposed valve and mating-flange details on the quotation.

Seat and disc follow the medium

Water, air and process fluids place different demands on the seat and wetted materials. The supplied assembly must have a material schedule suited to that duty. Chemical and drinking-water approvals come from the model record.

Between-flange fit and gearbox arrangement

Clamping between two flanges

Through-bolts hold the mating flanges around the wafer body. The locating ears help position the valve. Independently bolting each flange needs a lug body.

Clearance through the disc sweep

A reducer, thick pipe wall or internal lining can intrude into the open disc path. Compare the valve drawing with both adjoining bores before selecting the assembly.

Seat faces and flange gaskets

The seat design determines how the flange joint seals and whether separate gaskets are used. Apply the installation details for the selected model; adding a gasket automatically can change seat compression.

Handwheel position and access

The gearbox envelope includes the handwheel and its approach space. A compact valve body can still conflict with insulation, a wall or another line if the operator orientation is overlooked.

Wafer valves for skid, plant and distributor orders

Compact equipment pipework

Between-flange mounting suits short installation spaces in mechanical pipework. Equipment connections still need enough bore clearance for the disc and access for the handwheel.

Water and utility isolation

A valve schedule ties the seat and wetted materials to the water or utility service. Drinking-water and fire-system approvals are separate requirements, not consequences of the wafer body shape.

Size-by-size distributor replenishment

Wholesale lines can combine several nominal sizes. Keeping size, PN designation and flange interface on each line prevents two visually similar valves from entering stock under the same item description.

Wafer body, disc and operator checks

Body and seat faces

Coating damage, embedded debris and cuts at the seat faces affect more than appearance. These surfaces need protection from handling and from contact with the mating pipework.

Disc movement in the assembly

The disc should move through its specified travel without striking the adjoining bore. Clearance is read from the completed spool, not from an uninstalled valve.

Gearbox and position indication

The handwheel, gearbox stops and position indication are checked against the selected assembly. A monitoring switch is a separate item when the valve schedule requires one.

Model and test records

The valve identity on the data sheet, required test record and packing list must agree. Pressure-test conditions and results remain separate from the working-pressure designation.

Wholesale supply and valve protection

Valve and connection items priced separately

Our quotation identifies the valve, gearbox and quantity on each line. Mating flanges, through-bolts and any required gaskets are named separately so the delivered package matches the purchase order.

Protected bore and operator

Bore covers keep debris away from the seat and disc. The packing supports the body and protects the projecting gearbox and handwheel from impact.

Mixed sizes with clear receiving references

Valve size and order reference stay visible on the packing list. Destination, shipment terms and the agreed production schedule appear on the quotation.

Wafer or lug: choose the mounting arrangement

The body style changes how the valve is held between the flanges and how the joint can be dismantled.

Wafer butterfly valve purchasing questions

Are wafer valves supplied with the flange bolts and gaskets?

Our standard quotation separates the valve-and-gearbox line from connection hardware. When you need a complete connection set, include the mating flange details so the bolt lengths and any model-required gaskets can be itemized correctly.

Can I replace a lug valve with a wafer valve of the same size?

Size alone is not enough. The mounting method, flange spacing, disc clearance and maintenance arrangement change. A wafer valve relies on clamping between both mating flanges; a proposed replacement must match the actual joint design.

Can the same wafer valve fit PN16 and Class 150 flanges?

Some models accommodate more than one flange pattern, but compatibility belongs to the selected body and size. The quotation must identify the drilling and drawing that match your flanges. Pressure designation and flange drilling are separate checks.

Is the catalog 0–100°C band valid for every fluid?

No. The published temperature band does not establish compatibility with every liquid or gas. Seat compound, disc and body materials, fluid chemistry and pressure determine the applicable service limits for the offered assembly.

Does a gearbox-operated valve include position monitoring?

A handwheel and gearbox provide mechanical operation. Electrical position monitoring requires its own switch arrangement. If monitoring is part of the order, the quote identifies the switch model, mounting and required contacts with the valve assembly.

Can you quote from a valve schedule rather than a complete drawing package?

Yes. The valve type, nominal sizes, PN designation, quantities, medium and destination are enough to start. Include the flange standard or a mating-flange drawing where available. Our offer returns the proposed assembly and identifies the dimensional information needed before order release.
