HEA Steel Beam Supplier

Light HE-series sections with actual depth, flange width and cut length identified

We supply HEA steel sections for fabrication shops and project material schedules. The selected HEA designation stays paired with its actual geometry, structural grade and delivered length. Full lengths, prepared cuts and protective finishes are priced as defined supply items.

Selected nominal HEA dimensions and theoretical mass from our HE section catalog, cross-checked with ArcelorMittal section data. Mass is for the steel profile before coating. Rolling tolerances and the ordered material requirements remain separate acceptance conditions.

Section designation, grade and tolerance

EN section geometry

EN 10365 identifies European hot-rolled section dimensions and mass. The material line separately states the structural grade and the project’s required material specification and records.

Grade on the material line

The structural grade and required material records are stated alongside the HEA section. A section with the correct shape still needs the material properties and delivery requirements adopted by the project.

Rolling tolerances

The ordered product requirements set permitted deviations in depth, width, thickness, straightness and section geometry. Nominal values guide section selection, while the accepted fabrication drawing defines any required finished-part fit.

Cutting and connection preparation

Finished member lengths

The cutting list identifies finished length and quantity for each HEA profile. Squareness or end-angle requirements are retained where the member connects to an end plate or adjoining steelwork.

Web-root clearance

Rolled fillets occupy the corners between the web and flange. Plate corners, bolt locations and tool access are arranged around that curve using the full section detail.

Drilled and attached parts

Holes, end plates and welded attachments follow the approved fabrication drawing. Their positions use the actual flange and web geometry of the selected HEA profile.

Surface preparation

Primer and galvanizing require their own preparation and acceptance scope. Connection surfaces, weld zones and any coating exclusions are identified before the finish is applied.

HEA supply for drawing-based fabrication

European-section material lists

Fabricators working from HEA drawings can retain the specified HEA profile. The material list keeps its section, grade, length and preparation together through supply and fabrication.

Mixed structural-section purchases

HEA lengths can be quoted alongside other defined sections while retaining separate quantities and identification. This helps the receiving shop reconcile a mixed profile shipment with its cutting schedule.

Profile dimensions and cutting-list checks

Section identity

Depth and flange width distinguish the selected HEA profile from other series. Web and flange thickness complete the section check before fabrication or dispatch.

Cut length and end shape

Finished piece lengths and cut-end requirements are checked against the cutting list. Member identity stays with the piece where several profiles or lengths are supplied.

Material traceability

The material certificate and heat identity remain linked to the ordered grade and supplied sections. Additional testing is included only where required by the purchase specification.

Surface and handling condition

The release check covers damaging distortions, end condition and the specified protective finish. Packing contact points are arranged to avoid harming prepared connection surfaces.

Supported section layers

Timber spacers separate and support the lengths, with restraints placed around a stable stack. Prepared ends and connection surfaces remain clear of hard contact where practicable.

Profile and piece counts

Bundles identify the section designation, lengths and quantities. Each HE series keeps its own material and member marks so receiving and fabrication allocate the intended section to each part.

The quoted weight basis

Our offer identifies whether the price basis uses nominal section mass or another agreed weight basis. Cutting, holes, attachments, finish and shipment terms are separately identified.

HEA Steel Beams purchasing questions

What depth is used when checking HEA 200 replacement fit?

HEA 200 is nominally 190 mm deep. The actual depth, width and connection details must match the approved drawing before it can replace another section.

Is a US W section interchangeable with HEA?

An accepted replacement compares section geometry, material requirements and connection details against the project design. A proposed US W section has its own identified profile and approval before it replaces the specified HEA member.

Can you quote holes and end plates with the HEA lengths?

Yes, as a separate fabrication scope from the approved drawing. The quote identifies hole layout, attachments, preparation and inspection alongside the selected section and cut list.

Does the kg/m figure include galvanizing?

The table gives theoretical steel mass before coating. The quotation states the agreed billing weight basis and the finish scope separately.

Can one order combine HEA and HEB pieces?

Yes, with separate profile designations, lengths and quantities on the material list. Each supplied group retains its own section and material identity.

Will an outside section measurement identify the steel grade?

An outside measurement establishes the section geometry. The structural grade is verified through the material specification, heat-linked records and any additional analysis required by the order.
