Scaffold Base Jack Manufacturer

Solid and hollow screw stems with matched adjustment nuts and base plates

We manufacture adjustable scaffold base jacks as complete stem, nut and plate assemblies. Solid and hollow stem models have their own diameters, lengths and square base plates in our catalog. Select the assembly to match the receiving standard and its required adjustment detail, then order by model and piece count.

Factory catalog complete base-jack references: solid diameter × stem length; hollow OD × wall × stem length. The selected drawing and scaffold specification define thread/nut fit, insertion, usable adjustment, plate details and applicable loading.

Stem construction, nut bearing and base support

Solid or hollow spindle

Solid and hollow stems retain different sections and end conditions. The selected model keeps its material, thread profile and receiving-standard fit together with the appropriate nut and plate.

Nut bearing against the standard

The nut’s contact face supports the receiving component at its intended bearing surface. That seat, its diameter and the thread engagement follow the complete base-jack and standard detail.

Base plate and the supporting surface

Plate size, thickness and attachment define the steel part at the bottom of the assembly. The scaffold’s specified sole-board or foundation arrangement establishes the supporting surface beneath that plate.

Base jacks sit under EN 12811-1

EN 74-3 covers plain base plates and loose spigots. A base plate with a means of limited vertical adjustment, a base jack, is dealt with in EN 12811-1 instead, so the adjustable spindle is assessed under the scaffold performance standard. The adopted specification sets the required duty.

Thread engagement and stem-to-plate geometry

A matched stem and handled nut

Thread profile, pitch and finished fit identify the mating pair. The selected handled nut moves through its required adjustment range and retains the bearing detail specified for that standard.

Plate alignment under the spindle

The stem position and plate plane are checked together against the assembly drawing. The specified attachment retains the plate beneath the intended stem axis.

Coating at moving interfaces

Painted and galvanized routes have their own finished-thread requirements. The supplied nut and stem are checked in their selected finished condition, including required thread preparation or lubrication.

Base-jack model lots for scaffold fleets

Receiving-standard replenishment

An existing standard and retained base-jack drawing identify the bore, thread and bearing requirements. We keep those interfaces with the complete replacement model and quantity.

Bases within a new scaffold takeoff

The component takeoff lists each base position and selected model. Different stem/plate combinations retain their own piece counts alongside the standards and other scaffold parts.

Finished spindle, nut and base-plate checks

Base-jack stem and plate measurement

Stem dimensions and alignment

Checks retain stem diameter, hollow wall where applicable, overall length and plate alignment against the selected assembly drawing.

Thread, nut movement and bearing

The finished nut/stem pair is checked for the specified engagement and adjustment movement. The bearing face is related to the identified receiving-standard detail.

Plate attachment and model identity

Required attachment, surface and dimensional checks stay with the complete model. Assembly count and finish identity link the inspection record to the packed lot.

Stem, nut and plate in the quoted unit

Our quotation lists the complete selected model and piece count. Any separately requested nuts or plates have their own references and quantities.

Threads and plate edges protected

Packing groups the assemblies with support and separation around projecting plates and screw stems. The selected nut arrangement stays identifiable with each complete unit.

Receiving by actual assembly model

Different stem/plate combinations are packed as distinct groups. The list retains the model, finish and complete-piece count with the agreed shipment terms.

Scaffold base-jack purchasing questions

Does a 600 mm stem provide 600 mm of adjustment?

The stem length includes its inserted and exposed portions. Usable adjustment follows the selected assembly’s minimum engagement, nut position and scaffold specification.

How do we identify a matching replacement nut?

The stem’s complete thread designation, diameter, nut bearing face and finished-fit requirement identify the nut. A retained assembly drawing or sample keeps those details together for the replacement request.

Can the base plate be ordered with a different hole pattern?

A revised plate detail identifies the required holes, edge distances, thickness and stem attachment. The offer retains that plate revision with its complete base-jack model.

What establishes the permitted jack load?

The selected component’s design or test evidence identifies the applicable loading with its adjustment and engagement conditions. Those requirements stay with the actual scaffold configuration and complete jack assembly.

What bore follows from a 38 × 4 mm hollow stem reference?

Subtracting two nominal 4 mm walls from the 38 mm outside diameter gives a 30 mm geometric bore reference. The finished stem drawing supplies its actual bore, thread-root section and tolerances for the selected component.

Does solid stem identify the steel grade?

Solid describes a stem with a filled cross-section. The material grade is a separate purchase-specification entry, retained with the stem dimensions and complete base-jack reference.
