Columns & Tubular Bracing
Columns and braces can be supplied as mill lengths or finished cut members. End plates, gussets and intersecting tubes determine the required cut and end preparation, which we quote with the material.

ASTM A500 round structural tubing for columns, braces & fabrication
We manufacture ASTM A500 welded round HSS for wholesale and project orders. The catalog pairs actual outside diameters from 1.900 to 16.000 in. with specific nominal walls. Grade B or C, 6 m or 12 m lengths, cut pieces and plain or beveled ends are available from our factories in China.
Round HSS is available as full lengths or members prepared for columns, braces and posts. Plate, sleeve and intersecting-tube connections follow the structural drawing.
Columns and braces can be supplied as mill lengths or finished cut members. End plates, gussets and intersecting tubes determine the required cut and end preparation, which we quote with the material.
Prepared posts can include the specified cuts and connection features for plates, sleeves or brackets. A mating-part drawing defines the fit where the tube enters an existing plate opening or fixture.

The dimensions below identify material for purchase. They do not specify load capacity or a pressure rating.
These selections are listed in our BAOLAI A500 round-tube catalog. Each row pairs one outside diameter with one nominal wall; the metric values retain the catalog's rounding. They describe catalog supply, with quantity, grade and production timing confirmed for the order.

We supply full mill lengths and cut pieces with plain or beveled ends. Holes, shaped cuts and attached plates are quoted from their drawing details as additional fabrication work.
Holes and shaped ends on round tube use an angular reference around the circumference, plus a distance from a named end. Those two references define how the features align when the part enters its fixture.
Bare or oiled tube is available for workshop fabrication. Galvanized members are reviewed with the cutting and welding sequence, including the required finish at completed joints.
Diameter and ovality are checked at the specified positions. Sleeve and plate-opening fits also retain their measurement method and acceptance points in the inspection requirements.
The ERW route forms steel strip into a round profile, joins the longitudinal edges and sizes the tube before cutting. The OD and wall values used for ordering refer to the finished tube after sizing.
Socket-fit checks cover the specified insertion length, not only the cut end. The drawing and agreed gauge or measurement method are used for both production and receiving checks.
OD measurements at the specified positions check the section size and variation around the circumference.
Wall measurements, finished length and the ordered plain or beveled end are checked against the order requirements.
The inspection scope includes the seam and ordered surface condition, with any connection-specific features identified on the drawing.
Bundle identity is matched to the material and inspection records specified for the shipment. Any third-party witness points are scheduled before dispatch.
BAOLAI publishes the linked factory QC procedures and earlier pipe reports. These are background references; the records for your round HSS identify the ordered A500 grade, material batch and agreed checks.
View BAOLAI inspection documentationBundle references identify diameter, wall, grade, length and order line. Short cut pieces have separate counts and packing entries from full-length tubing.
Straps and timber supports keep the tubes together, while suitable chocks restrain rolling. Coated surfaces need protection at contact points. Bundle length and weight are agreed around the transport plan and the lifting equipment available at your receiving site.
Export delivery is quoted to the named destination. Production, end preparation and transport have separate schedule entries, so the arrival requirement can be compared with the full supply sequence.
Our itemized quote shows material, finish and delivery costs for each specified OD, wall, grade, length and quantity.
Both describe a circular hollow section. Round HSS is common in US structural specifications, while CHS is widely used in other markets. Keep the standard and grade with either name: an EN 10219 CHS order is not automatically an ASTM A500 order.
Matching OD and wall do not make different material specifications interchangeable. This offer is for A500 round structural tube. A53 or A1085 requirements stay on the purchase specification and need separate supply confirmation; any substitution requires acceptance by the project designer.
A coped end is quoted from the intersecting member sizes, angle and weld detail. A simple square-cut length does not define that profile; the connection drawing sets the cut surface and any weld-preparation allowance.
They are different lengths: 20 ft equals 6.096 m and 40 ft equals 12.192 m. Keep the exact finished length and unit on the order. Inch-based or foot-based cut lists are reviewed at their stated dimensions rather than rounded to metric mill lengths.
We review the quantity for each OD and wall separately, in the stated piece or mass unit. Any production minimum is shown against that item before the order is placed, including mixed-size shipments.
No. The round HSS offered on this page is ERW welded tubing. A seamless requirement must remain explicit on the inquiry and material specification; a round cross-section by itself does not identify how the tube was made.
Attach the tube list and note your destination, or enter the OD, wall and quantities in your inquiry. Add a drawing for prepared ends or connection features. We return the material specification, processing scope and delivery terms in one itemized quote.
